About Us
Oil & Gas Library (Oil & Gas Library) is a free educational platform for petroleum engineering, presented by Bilal, an HSE practitioner in the Hassi Messaoud oilfields in Algeria.
The library started as a YouTube channel and a Facebook page before expanding into this platform, bringing together lessons structured into learning tracks, complete with written summaries, quizzes, field calculators, and a technical glossary.
Who is this platform for?
For field personnel, technicians, junior engineers, and petroleum engineering students, as well as anyone preparing for certifications such as IWCF. Video explanations are provided in Arabic while retaining standard industry English technical terms.
How do we create content?
Every lesson goes through three stages: technical text cross-referenced against industry standards, animations illustrating what cannot be seen downhole, and a quiz to reinforce understanding. If you spot an error, contact us and we will fix it.
