- Prices: Daily spot prices published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration EIA (public domain), read from the public CSV file at FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis). Updated hourly; official data usually lags by a few days, so we display the date of the last value next to each price.
- News: Headlines and links only from official RSS feeds: EIA Today in Energy, EIA press releases, BOEM, and BSEE (U.S. government agencies, public domain works). Updated every 30 minutes.
- If the source is unreachable, we display the last saved value with its date, or hide the section. We never display estimated figures.
